google iconEarlier today, Google accidentally leaked a demonstration video showing off Google Now for iOS. The video was promptly pulled, but Engadget managed to copy it before it was taken down.

Siri is useful to an extent but Google Now offers more flexibility and information, even without being asked. Google Now is one of the biggest selling points for Android and it looks as if it’s going to make its debut on iOS very soon. In the leaked demo video, Google Now for iOS is shown as an extension of the current Google Search app. The interface looks identical to Android’s version, showing traffic, weather, sports scores, and more.

The most intriguing part of the video is that Google Now for iOS can be activated by a swipe up. Although this looks exactly like Android’s implementation, the swipe up gesture seems to only work when you’re in the Google Search app. This is a bummer for iOS users who want quick access to Google Now from any app.

Check out the video for yourself.
